April 2015 Bonjour AYSO Volunteers and Parents, Our family just returned from 7 days in Haiti where we distributed over 100 uniforms and 31 pairs of donated cleats along with socks and soccer balls. Thank you so, so, so much for bringing much joy and happiness to the children of Haiti, most still living in tent cities 5 years after the earthquake with no running water, electricity, or toilet facilities. We at Harvest Christian Fellowship of Orange County were blessed by you, AYSO of OC to bless many Haitian children who have never before had their own uniforms, socks, cleats, or soccer balls. Thank you for blessing these children! We are so grateful to you all for giving these underprivileged children of Haiti so happy! Serving the people of Haiti through the love of Jesus Christ, Tisha Benson and Family
Thank you South Irvine AYSO players and parents for your recent donations of jerseys. They went to children in brazil that do not have much. Here is a message from Jane Barber who brought these jerseys down to Brazil with her church group. "We had an amazing time bringing joy to the kids of Camino Melhor, a very poor community in Parana, Brazil. We gave out all the soccer clothing to kids each day in the community. Many of the kids that grow up there never leave their 2 mile radius their whole life. Some won't live past young adult age due to poverty, crime, disease. It was a blessing to see them wearing their colorful AYSO jerseys, shorts and socks! We enjoyed playing soccer with them as well! Enjoy these pictures and thank you for investing in this mission trip in this way!
Congratulations to our four teams participating in this year's AYSO National Games hosted by Section One in Torrance and Riverside, CA.
The four teams from our Core/All-Star and Extra Leagues include:
Core/All-Star League: BU12 - Watson / BU16 - Mier y Teran
Extra League: BU10 - Redjaian / GU14 - Lunow
As a way to celebrate our 50th Anniversary and our AYSO Alumnis we are going to posting old pictures of Region 144 AYSO Alumns. This first one is with some alums of Region 144. Shown below is University Park. If you have old pictures of your AYSO days, please submit to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Platinum Regions represent the best of the best that AYSO has to offer. These Regions model AYSO’s philosophies and commitment to providing the best family friendly youth soccer experiences for all players and parent volunteers throughout their immediate communities and beyond. They nurture the generous spirit of their participants and devote extra effort to providing assistance to many worthy charitable causes.
AYSO Pet Policy
The City of Irvine and AYSO has a NO Pets Policy at all AYSO events held in the Region. We ask all parents, guests, and spectators to please leave your pets at home when you attend any AYSO event including practices, games, picture day, opening ceremonies, Tournaments, etc.
This Policy is enforced at the National level, is endorsed at the Section level, is endorsed at the Area level, is consistent with neighboring Regions and is in keeping with our Insurance Policy which does not cover animal bites or related injuries. Service animals are generally exempt from this Policy.
We appreciate your cooperation.
